Hey Guys,
Bear with me on this....I live in NYC and don't really have the resources or space to start building a cabinet for an in wall jukebox. I was going to go with an old console radio but realized I don't want to pass out from the chemicals and strip it in the middle of my living room..fiancé would kill me!

Anyways, we're at this really cool old world rustic wine bar down the street and it has all of these very cool vintage style decorations around the room. I notice on the wall they have 3 large oak wine barrels that appear to be coming out of the wall (about 15-20%) of the face coming out of the wall and it just looks very cool...gives that old world look. So anyways it got me thinking...jukebox! I found a good deal on a few online and should have them this week. They are cut barrels directly from Napa and have random inscriptions and marks from some of the wineries there. So they are about 6" deep and 24" wide by 24" standard 59 gallon barrel. I'll take some pictures in a day or two once they are here so you can see what they look like.
The plan:
1 laptop that has its monitor ripped off
1 Elo 15" touchscreen
1 usb wireless sound card to tap into my surround sound
1 Belkein smart AV
Some tin/metal strips
Heavy Duty mounting brackets to hang this mammoth
So I plan to cut a hole in the middle of the barrel (its 1" thick) and mount the monitor on it (more towards the bottom of the barrel. The top has some nice inscriptions from the winery itself so I don't want to cover those up. The black frame of the touchscreen will be wrapped in a metal tin type finish that matches the metal hoops that surround the barrel itself. I''ll mount the laptop the wifi components, power sources and everything along with the smart belkein av all inside the barrel, and then run just one cord out of the side of it. My wall is roughly 28" wide and then cuts around the corner. Hard to put in words, but you will barely notice a white cord coming out of it that is tacked to the wall (pics to follow) So at this point i'm just waiting for the barrel and working on the software. I'll keep ya posted.
