Off Screen Reload Model 2 Emulator?

Hey guys, just had my EMS Topgun 2 delivered yesterday, set it up and its awesome but ive got one problem when using it in the Sega Model 2 Emulator, I cannot get off screen reloading to work, does anyone know how to enable this or is there something special that I have to do. I can reload fine by pressing the B button on the gun but i dont like that method too much. Any help would be much appreciated.
