AAE has no listxml or whatever, so games names in mala are rom names. Undesirable, of course. So, batch files to the rescue.
Bat file command line is: directory to exe, followed by rom name.
Place your bats in the AAE directory, and in Mala set the rom path to there. Make sure the 'execution' line is set for 'full path with extension'. Below that, set 'window state' to 'minimized'.
An alternative to this is to create a shortcut of the exe. Rename it to the name of a game. Right-click>properties, and in the target box add the game name to the end of the line. Repeat. In Mala: change the file type to 'lnk'; for 'execution', select 'rom only'. Do not select 'minimize' for 'window state'.
Shortcuts/lnk files can be used for Daphne, too. The 'target' line must have the same information the bats do. (Again, remember the correct emu config for lnk files.) The advantage of using this file type is it can easily be accessed; whereas if your bat file doesn't work, you have to rename it to a text file, correct/alter it, then rename or 'save as' bat.
Another advantage to shortcut/lnk files is they can be placed anywhere you wish, whereas at least with Mala in the case of AAE, bats have to be in the same directory as the exe.
