First Juke - CD-100 converted to SKJuke
Meph:
Actually the spinning CDs themselved do work, its just the lights that don't. Its easy enough to fix. My friend has a small led/laser strip that actually shoots 5 different colored beams in a half circle which might actually look really cool reflecting off those spinning CDs. Im going to try a few things before I make a decision.
yotsuya:
That's sweet. I'd love to do the same thing!
drventure:
Nice. I love resurrecting old stuff like this!
Meph:
Im open to suggestions on the bezel. I picked up a 2'x4' piece of 1/8' oak plywood today and I was going to plunge cut for the monitor and use that as the bezel. When the cabinet door closes the white light shroud should seal right up to the bezel (with a little added foam to tighten the seal). The question is what to do with the bezel. Paint, Laminate, or scrap the wood altogether and go with an opaque acrylic bezel? Any suggestions are welcome. 1/8" or so is all the thickness I need.
elkameleon:
It would be awesome to get as big as a monitor as you could in there, what size is the opening it that thing anyways?
