SO is there an update to this topic - I got one of these in original state, and I'd love to undertake a project like this!

Thanks for sharing your further progress!

EDIT: I did see a link to your BLOG, and was able to read a bit more - thanks!

if you have issues with the keys not switching properly, they can be disassembled and cleaned with some contact cleaner and they will work like new again

Meph:
Sorry I never finished updating this thread.  That project was long since finished.  I got a new(er) set of complete buttons from another CD-100 juke.  I don't think I have an pics of the completed juke before I sold it but its almost identical to the earlier pic with a complete button set, black vinyl overlay on the bezel, and the dollar bill validator hold covered up.  It was a pretty sweet juke and really loud but it took up way too much space in my garage.

Hi

I'm trying to do one of these just about the same way.   Would it be possible for you to post how you did the keyboard control in detail?  I have everything else just about ready to go, but I would really like for the original keypad to control it..
thanks
troy

Meph:
Well I didn't really document it well and I don't have the juke anymore BUT I do have some pics that show how I wired it and which traces I cut.  Also shows how I soldered traces together for the common ground.  If your using the same button panel you can do it the same way, if not your going to have to figure out your traces yourself.  These pics are from my friend's project using the same button panel.  He gets all the credit, I just followed his pics.

Good luck, hope those pics help.
