Overlap Between MAME Originals and hiscore.dat
« on: March 06, 2011, 12:08:01 am »
I'm about to start editing my MAME.ini for use in Hyperspin. After about an hour it became pretty clear that editing the list by hand was probably not worth the time.  I'd like to use one of many programs to eliminate clones, but I am wondering how the list of originals overlaps with the hiscore.dat.

In other words, I don't want to eliminate a clone if it is the only ROM of the set that supports high score saving.  How often does a clone support high scores, while the original does not?
