CPViewer and M.A

Im hoping to upgrade my control panel to use ledblinky and lighted controls to show what controls to use in games but its going to take me a while to save up to do this so in the meantime im wondering if i can use CPViewer to just show me what controls to use when i pause or when a game starts?

If i can do this can someone show me how to set this up with maximus and also how to set it up with mame and the most commonly used console emulators?
