Non-MAME emu Control Panel Images

I searched and didn't see a way to do this, so I'm asking here.

I know for other emus we can set the control panel to appear in the info window.  Then in the folder specificed, the control panel will show based on the rom name that's currently selected.  I.E. I have "Castlevania.nes" selected, it would show the CP for "Castlevania.jpg" (or whatever image type).  What I'd like to do is have a generic CP for all my EMUs. To just display an image I would create of my physical CP, and the NES controller, and show how the buttons are mapped.

So to do this I would almost just need a single JPG that would show for all games of that emu, regardless of what was selected.  It could be based off the enu name.  It could keep the existing logic to go off the rom name, but if it didn't find it, add something to look at the emu name?  In this case NES.  It would then look for an NES.jpg and display that as a control panel.

Maybe there's a better way to do this than what I'm thinking.  What are other people doing for their non-MAME emus control panel images?
