free vector program...

hey, is there a free vector program out there that offers some basic functionality? i'd like to be able to use something after my trial Ilustrator runs out :P

If you are unable to "acquire" any commercial vector programs, you may want to try Zoner Draw 3. It is now freeware (from zoner.com). Not as fancy, and not as many features as Illustrator/Freehand, it should work for basic stuff. Try it out and see it works for you....

sodipodi.sourceforge.net is a very nice program, I am not familiar with illustrator, but I greatly suspect it is NOT illustrator caliber as far as "power" features go... but it works great for me and is capable of some nice things.
