I think the best advertising for any vendor around here are posts from other people's experiences with certain products and vendors' posts offering support for their products and posts about new products. Knowing that a product will perform in a certain way by reading about other people's experiences will make me more likely to consider that product in the future. The forums themselves are great advertising.
I agree completely. The problem, however, is that to ensure that the site stays around to host all of this great info, the site's owner and caretakers need to be compensated for the time, effort and expense it takes to keep it going. I am mindful of that, and as this site has been one of the few sites where I have spent a lot of time in the past ~10 years, it's great that I can give more back than just "content", while at the same time helping to sustain GroovyGameGear's operation. So as long as that dynamic continues, I am happy to contribute through the advertisements. Me thinks it makes Saint happy too
