CabMame settings?

I had a problem with tearing before, and when I turned on vsync, I had a problem with sound stuttering.  Someone suggested I use CabMame, so I'm using that now.  Even without vsync turned on in the mame.ini file, I get no tearing whatsoever, and I also don't get any stuttering sound.  BUT, it seems that the games are running slower?  Or maybe just the sound playing slower? 

I'm using CabMame with HyperSpinFE, with the EmuMovies, and the sound / gameplay from the movies are a lot faster from the actual gameplay now.  Is it CabMame that's running slower, or the EmuMovies playing fast? 

I have a dual core 2.7ghz cpu, 1gb ram, geforce 6600le and running Windows XP SP3. 

Can someone maybe help with what the settings in the mame.ini should be?

"SoundSync changes the playback rate of the soundbuffer based on the emulations speed.

If Pac-Man runs with a speed of 98%, the soundbuffer playback gets slowed down to 98% also eliminating the stuttering. However note that the sound also gets a little pitched and slowed down, although most people won't hear this at all. This also works with games that run too fast (NeoGeo for example)."

I compared cabmame with the normal mame last night.  Most games I can't notice a difference in speed, but there are ones that's quite bad.  Wonderboy for example feels like you're playing in slow motion.  And Green Beret plays super fast again.

That's a problem with the .ini file. Green Beret uses 30 frames instead of 60!

That's the same! I had these troubles too and I simply adjusted the ini file for each game...

Ok cool, but what exactly do I need to change in the ini file?  And how do I change it for different games?

I wonder why folks like you get in touble with such nice hardware, i use pentium 4 computer,512 ram with crappy ati 9200 128 mb or nvidia 5200fx 128 card, and most regular games run good, for example, green beret runs just fine, pacman runs great,  neogeo games runs good, all im using is , mame 139 compiled for highscore no nag screen and no state screen, i create a regular mame ini, and thats all...so you might pretty much be messing with somenthing you sgouldnt mess as your hardware its way better then mine...

From what I can remember, I didn't have any issues like this with my previous cab.  And the pc I was using back then was just a normal P4.  Maybe VGA drivers or something? 

Anyone that can help me with the ini file?

I don't remember the ini that green beret uses (was is grnberet.ini?), but "redraw 1" should do the magic.
