Rom separation in MA

I'm pretty sure you could edit the MAME.lst in the preferences directory (which is the master listing) and add it in? Not sure if the file format is proprietary though.

jimmy2x2x:
That should work, but you will lose it when you upgrade to a new version of mame.  If you put your games in a favourites list then they will stick, regardless of updating.

I opened it in a notepad-styled reader last night, and it looks like the ".LST" files are proprietary.

This.

I played with that last night, and used "Import" to bring in everything from my "MAME.LST" file into my Favourites, and then started to manually pare them down.  It looks like a daunting task, so I'm hoping someone else might have a better idea.

It likely won't open correctly in Notepad - try Editplus or another more robust text editor.

I didn't use Notepad, I mentioned I used a notepad-styled reader. - I used Notepad++, which is robust, and showed too much back-code in the file.
