Yes there are a few issues you need to consider if converting to LCD:
- anything that size will be wide screen.... 16X9 aspect ratio, but after you play it I am sure you will love it!
- Be careful about viwing angle as well as contrast/ brightness... I have carefully selected our make and model of LCD panel to insure optimum!
- If you use a scan converter, you are essentially converting the signal once so that the 25Khz is now VGA (640X480) the LCD's A/d board will likely convert it again to the lCD panels resolution such as 1024X768... double conversion means degradation of the picture. Our LCD does not need a scan converter.
- next the IT cabinet needs special attention to add a 26" LCD as they added 5/8" particle board on both the right and left sides- inside the cabint. This reduces the mounting opening by 1 and 3/4 inches so some of that needs to be cut out if you are planning on using the original cabinet.
I have already putthese in GT2005, PGA, GTA Complete and a whole lot of others and they look great... odd for me to be saying that as apicture tube fan, but all the work we have done has paid off.
Hope this helps.
Good luck Rick
