Smash TV - Mint Condition - Coin Slots?
« on: August 21, 2010, 07:08:25 am »
So i picked up an original 19" SmashTV in MINT condition. It has all the original side art and everything is working 100%. The only question i have is it seems that the coin slot "guides" are missing -- when you drop in a coin it just falls rather than going through the slot and into the bin -- therefore not activating credits. Is this an easy fix? This is my first arcade machine so sorry if it's a simple answer.

What you need to get is these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260406995176&rvr_id=127736708962&crlp=1_263602_263622&UA=M*S%3F&GUID=4aa314dd1240a0b584027732ffdfe08f&itemid=260406995176&ff4=263602_263622 . There might be better prices and better places but that was the first thing that came up with a search on where to buy them from. I don't know how much you don't know so I'm going to assume absolutely nothing and say that you need to get into the coin door first to be able to put these in. I would also take a glance at http://pdf.textfiles.com/manuals/ARCADE/SMALLFILENAME/smashtv.pdf and set it on  Free-Play if you prefer not to have to use coins.
Where's my gold star :P

You need "coin mechs". I'm sure someone on this board can help you out.
