Lightgun for a CRT
« on: March 02, 2010, 08:03:15 pm »
I was planning on waiting for the aimtrack premade gun before I venture into the land of light-guns but the fact that I forgot to order the button wiring harness so I can attach my cp to a my ps2 has gotten me considering adding the aimtracks to my order now so I don't have to spend $17 to ship only an $8 bundle of wires. That said I do have a CRT in my cabinet and I was wondering if I would be missing out not getting some other more old school crt specific lightgun.

Also if anyone has tips on how I can get the wiring harness without having to pay 200% shipping (I am in Ottawa Canada) that would be appreciated too.

Check with Divemaster127 in the B/S/T forum.  He is in the US so its cheaper than coming from the UK.  I'm not sure about the screwy Canadian import tax or whatever it is though.

Divemaster127 carries all of Ultimarc's product line.

I just ordered 2 aimtracks. $14 shipping to Nevada from both Ultimarc and divemaster. I figured I would get a little more work for my shipping dollars, so I ordered directly from Andy. I don't see the sense in having a US distributor for Ultimarc products if there is no savings on shipping.

I Have 2 AimTraks and a 19 CRT PC Monitor. I can't say for large size
CRT Monitors but it works very accurate here. You can turn off cursors
and hit dead on!

I still prefer CRT Monitors myself but should I upgrade later or want
to  carry them to a friends house...

They Are Compatible.

I have A pair of Actlabs guns as well.
Which work OK for a select few games. The Aimtraks work with a whole
lot more and are just awesome!

I would advise Anyone wanting to get light guns:
Get a Aimtrak you wont regret it! :)
