Happs 27" Monitor Bezel
« on: November 08, 2002, 04:40:55 pm »
Hello,

I'm coming close to completing my first cabinet and I've been contemplating getting the Happs bezel.  Before I go forward with this I need to know a few things.  First off...I am using a 27" TV in my cab.  The glass if recessed about 2cm from the front of the actual tv.  Would the bezel be suitable to use with a tv.  I also need to know the actual dimensions of the bezel.  Happs doesn't state what size the piece is in it's entirety.  Thanks in advance!

Here is mine that I measured right after I received it.  It's long gone now, so I can't get any more measurements on it.  Dimensions not shown on the graphic is that the lip, or inset, of the bezel is about 1" deep at the centers of the monitor opening and 2" deep at the corners for the tube curvature.

**EDIT**
Forgot to mention that it works great with a TV.  I installed the bezel around a 27" Toshiba, and it looked perfect.  You may have to make some modifications if the front of your tube is only 2cm from the glass.  The bezel depth ranges from 1 to 2 inches along the inset.  The inset is on an angle, so if you trim that to accomodate the 2cm depth, you will make the opening larger, revealing the TV casing behind it.
