Image "bleeding" on a NEC XM-2960. any help?
« on: December 29, 2009, 01:44:00 pm »
I just picked up an NEC XM-2960 29" monitor off craigslist. Of course, guy didnt have a cable for me to test it but said I could bring it back if I had problems. (purchased from a church)

Anyways, just got it home and the image looks like its bleeding or running. Any clue if this is a major issue or an easy fix? I tried to take a decent photo showing what its doing.

If i can fix it easy, I'd like to. I had to borrow a truck to pick it up and its kind of far from me, but I can always return as a last resort.

nevermind :) the contrast was alll the way up. It was being weird though and thats why i didnt realize that was the issue. On brightness one push of + or - added or subtracted a bar of brightness. However contrast I had to press about 30 times to lower it one bar. So, I sat there for several minutes pressing it until it finally came down to a reasonable level and the picture looks loads better.
