Joystick madness!
« on: June 04, 2009, 12:54:08 pm »
Alright,
I have read the wiki and I need some ops here.  I was going to buy the 49ways and the GPWIZ 49 but come to find out I can't find them anywhere.  I wanted 4 of each.  The main reason was because I wanted something that was going to make the gaming easy.  Well I guess thats no longer an option. So I have been looking at other joysticks and now im lost.  I don't know what to go with.  I wanted to be able to play most games (at least the ones you can play with a joystick) with no issues.

I am a HUGE fan of gauntlet legends.  So that is one of the main reasons I wanted a 49way.  So I Guess the question is; What joystick will do 2way, 4way, 8way, and w/e-else-way that I'll need to play gauntlet legends and all the old games that will require the 2way, 4way and 8ways?

I was looking at the Ultimarc 360 but I didn't know...  I am not to worried about cost here.

Another thing that I liked about the 49way and GPWIZ49 was the fact that everything was software emmulated.  I don't want to have to take apart my CP every time I want to play different games...  :banghead:

Any ideas? :notworthy:

Id' say go with the 360's

They're completely mappable

The U360 is awesome. Get two for player one and two, and then get Sanwa JLW's for player 3 and 4. Those players only need 8-ways, and the JLW is the simple version of the U360 (it's actually the other way around, but you get the point).
