ANNC: MultiFE 2.10 with EmuMovies + Gallery support.
« on: February 28, 2009, 07:20:35 am »
MultiFE 2.09 is released and might been the final major release?

This version:
- I have added EmuMovies support with no rotation support released, but it still need testing with system emulators to make sure it works as intended.
- I also fixed a lots of bugs since release and it gonna to work as I want it to have, so I might not want to add more features after this release  (mightbeen except the hi2text support), but do still fix various few bugs left.

Future:
- I have choices to turn development of MultiFE down now, and instead moving into a another project, which is a little game project with a friend (not announced yet). I do still do bugfixes, new profiles and so on, but no new major features yet.

Source Code?
- I also have planning to release the whole source code with a some sort of license, even it require a bit more work, before it can been ported to Linux and Mac (I known the jukebox part should work, but not the FE part). MultiFE is coded in BlitzMax with a little help of Pure Basic (one dll I do have lost source for, but it only do a minor job to support file level unicode).

So which License should I use, because I still want to meanstream this project, but I do also want other to take part of this project, even it might go different direction as I thought.

I do see I can get it ported to Linux, before I release the project included with source code as it are (possible under GNU license?).

Yes I still support MultiFE and have fixed many bugs since and hope fully not have many issues left (Today Touchscreen GUI did got various fixes).

For few weeks ago I have redesigned my MultiFE homepage which should been easier to navigate around and find the supported emulators and such and how to do various things. The help section can been better througt.

I have also added a new Slideshow Gallery to MultiFE which show various artwork from a contain games and also works for albums as well. Thanks to Stormrider for the indirect idea (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=91216.0).

The Escape is now sync with the remapped key, so the ESCAPE is not hardcoded anymore (quit any emulator with any key mapped in MultiFE).

I hope there most major issues is now fixed (and even more issues fixed since beta) and dosent behaive strange with some features or broken.

Remember: This Frontend was designed with 4 button NeoGeo layout in mind, but can been used with other controls as well (all controls can been remapped.
