I'm new here so first I'll send a "Hello" out to everybody.
I have a 19" Wells Gardner K7000 that has no vertical deflection. Usually not a big deal. First I checked the pots on the control board and the main chassis board. Both were fine. I checked for

Bad solder joints all over the board. Sometimes an open resistor. Check the vertical yoke resistance. Tantalum capacitor C51 is known to go bad. It's value is critical. If it goes way off value (or worse, open) you lose vertical deflection. If it drifts a little bit the picture will not have enough height.

Thanks Ken. I appreciate the input. I've made a note about C51. I tried changing C51 but that wasn't the problem. I did go over all the solders, I just forgot to include that in my original post. I tested the output of IC3 it should have been 12v but I had 24v. Then the voltage reg went out on me. I had to make sure I was working on a K7000 and not a U5000 as it was acting just like one. Reluctantly I changed IC3 AGAIN! I don't know if I got a bad IC from the factory or if it went out after putting it in but it was bad. It's up now but I've got a bad fold on the bottom that I can't adjust out. *sighs*

The "50/60 hz" pot adjusts the foldover.

Yup, that was the first thing I went for when I was adjusting it. After cranking it all the way to the side that improved it, I still have a terrible foldover. I'm just getting ready to dive back into troubleshooting it now. *sighs deeply*
Thanks Ken

Has this had a capkit? If not then that could be the problem.

Yes.... a capkit was one of the things I did originally. I'm pretty careful not to miss any. I go over the board and mark the top of them all with a permanent marker so I don't miss any.

I found it Ken..... Thanks so much for your help. I repaired a couple of bad traces-landings, and it fired up.
