Just like it says.  I need a Jungle King Marquee.  Has anyone come across a printable copy?

You have no idea how much I'd appreciate that. :)

I'd clean it up and put it up for download (raster version).

I have some Gyruss marquee bits. I think they need some cleanup, but it should work. PM me if you still want it.

I'll see what I can do about the Jungle King artwork.  Much easier now that I have a working scanner.

That would be awesome.  SKYHOPPER is checking to see if he has an original I could buy.  If that comes through I could scan it too.

JK is one of my favorite cabs, so I'll be doing whatever I can to help/get some art up for others to use.  ;)

If you aren't in a huge hurry I could probably scan it at work pretty soon.  Maybe this week?  I don't think my scanner at home is working (which stinks).  I have the CP too but it will be harder to scan.  It is also missing a small spot but that part could be fudged from some other photos, I'm sure.  Probably should email me directly about this as I sometimes go awhile without checking on here.  Wadelanham at hotmail.com

Oh, I thought you meant the arcade art repository itself...heh.

For some odd reason it's not there.  I'll reupload.  It will be in the 'unclean' section.

thank's got it.

I combined the 2 files in one zip archive, and added the thumbnail to the AAL,in order to have a preview of the marquee

This one is going to take a while. ;)

I'll see what I can do.  With the shadowing done with those black squares, I might have to play with some layers and get it pulled apart.  That way it will be easier to match colors later on.

Why not just take a good scan and clean it up?  Using vectors for a marquee like that isn't practical, and there is really nothing to be gained.  Since it is specifically a marquee it would be rare that someone would want to blow it up extremely large.

Also, vectors are good for sideart because they make the size manageable for transporting around the internet.  With a marquee it doesn't matter too much.

Well, I think it's good to have vectorable work in vector format. The Jungle King marquee is one that will not radically benefit from being in vector format however, other than being able to be blown up to a huge size (which isn't very important like you mention)

If there was an easy way to simulate halftonining in Illustrator I'd be more apt to think images like these could be accurately traced. As is, I'm inclined to agree that this image just needs a good / clean scan.

I'm just going to try and clean up the scan as best as I can.  It will still be rastered.

That scan is @ 100%.  I'm sure with some cleanup it'll look great.
