MameWah request

Minwah....I'm sure this has been asked a hundred times before and there may be a easy way I'm not away of.  Could you make it possible that once we populate our list, we can then delete the games out of it ?  I know people will say just to go and delete or remove the roms your not interested in, but it helps for me to see the screenshots as I'm deleting.  Don't know if it is possible or not, but just a idea.

You can do it using the menu:

press <2> then scroll down to 'Games List Options', press <1>,scroll down to 'Remove Game from List', press <1>

There is also a short-cut key assigned to this:
REMOVE_GAME_FROM_LIST      "DIK_Z"

You can redefine thisto use another key besides Z, and other MAMEWAH function short-cuts, in the file default.ini that is found in the \MAMEWAH\CTRLR directory.

Does it remove it in realtime, or after you remove, do you have to regenerate the list ?

Kindof...it basically removes the game from MAMEWAH's LST file, and then reloads and displays (very quickly).  Just thought I'd state that as you don't have to wait like when hitting 'Generate List'...

I keep trying but still no luck....it seems the direct input of other keys is working fine, but the one one to bring up remove from list which was "S" isn't...I remapped it to 9 to try something different but still no luck...even from the list it won't delted....I'm really conFuSsed.

Yeah, mine does the same thing. I hit "1" to remove the game, but instead it does nothing at all. I just want to remove a game from the list that doesn't work, but needs to be on the hard drive for another game to work.

Ok I just read the docs again ( always a good idea, lol ). Looks like the remove from list function only works for a custom list. I guess the answer is create a custom list that contains all games and then remove them from the custom list. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes, the Main List (emuname-0) cannot be modified, since it is required to generate filtered lists.

It works OK for me, but I am using v1.6b1  ;)

After you make the custom list that conatins all the games,  you can go into your \mamewah\ini\MAME-0.ini file and change the main list to non-cycling (change the 0 to 1).

This way you won't see the main list  if you use the short-cut keys to cycle through your lists.

You should still be able to select the list through the menu though.
