Since the 'dial' input type in MAME is incredibly inaccurate, I started going thru the games to see which could actually be played with a dial - see the attached Excel sheet (rename to .xls) my WIP list. The 'y/n/?' column is for my benefit, basically this is whether I can play the game on my panel or not. Ones which are not playable are generally rotary stick games or games with unique controllers. The list isn't great, but might be of some use

BTW if no-one has Excel post and I'll convert it...
Edit: just wanted to say that this list is generated from MAME v0.83, and doesn't include clones.
Edit 2: Car Polo slipped thru as it is classed as 'Sports', and Road Blasters as I didn't think to filter out 'Shooter / Driving' games.
