The bank is sending me back to Denver on the 26th, any good Pokémon near the Tech center?

Can't speak for Pokemon there but if you come to Iowa my kids can hit you up with the best locations.

You should check out the Hyperspace arcade near Denver.  I spent some time there in April and would love to go back.  They have an awesome Vector line-up and as of last week all 14 of them are up and working.  They also have my new favorite game Crater Raider.

People can say what they want about me playing Pokemon go but it's the first time in a while that my wife and I actually go out and do something together.

My buddy's jukebox is just about done.... except that the monitor went out, and now I have to try and recap it, hoping that fixes it.

Summer of Chuff?  I'm moving to San Francisco next month!  Leaving the True North for Trump-loving, trigger-happy-cops, racism, mass-shooting land!  I'm trading up one overpriced expensive hippy city for an even more overpriced expensive hippy city.  Wait...why am I moving again?  Oh yeah, I got a sweet job lined up!
This is the second time I've moved down to 'Murrrica, and sadly I doubt I will be returning to Canada in the future.  :( I love my country, but my career aspirations are greater than my patriotism. Luckily for me Canada never makes you give up your citizenship, so once a canuck, always a canuck.

I'm looking forward to sane shipping charges for my arcade gear now. That and cheap domestic flights! Zapcon next year, anyone?

Leaving the True North for Trump-loving, trigger-happy-cops, racism, mass-shooting land!

Churchill was famously quoted that "Democracy is the worst form of government ..... except for all the others."

I submit to you that America is the worst country to live in.... except for all the others.

This Trumpish society that has recently welled up scares the crap out of me, and I'm in WV so I'm at ground zero.  The thing is, what is the alternative?  Move to a country that either has no potential for fulfilling employment or is even worse off socially?

I can tell it's that time around here when the Walmarts clear everything in the front of the store out and replace it with stuff students buy when they move in.
If it weren't for that and friends who work at the university whining, I'd be oblivious.

Heh.

I'm actually kind of excited about this year. For the last 11 years, I've been the campus technology director. But because of a change in District philosophy on how they want to handle tech support, I made the decision to go back in the classroom. The first nine years at my school, I taught English. But rather than go back and teach that, I have been hired to teach business technology courses, which is right up my alley. I've got seven years to retirement, and this is how I want to go out. One of the cool after shots is that since I sponsor a video game club, I now have my own lab to do dedicated Lan gaming. And I'm actually building a display case with vintage consoles. My goal is to next year teach a course on video game design. Fingers crossed!

You seriously lock up game systems in display cases and tell children they're not allowed to touch your precious collectibles?

Do you eat candy and punch small animals in front of them, too?

We break them out and play them every Friday. The Atari is the only thing that belongs to me. The kids brought in the other things. And I locked them up because about four years ago we had an Xbox 360 stolen from the club. We're putting them out on display and they have little Museum type cards with specs on each machine rather than keeping them locked up in a cabinet, hidden from View.

Anything else you want to talk out your ass about?

I am going to a retro gaming and pinball event on Sunday which I am really looking forward to :)

I have never been before but I am hoping I can make some contacts (Especially someone who can do large artwork etc!) And of course play some games! :D

Plus I would really like to buy a Pin ball table but I doubt that will happen....

Mexicans, we don't have every console under the sun. However, if you have any consoles lying around and would like to donate them to the cause, we'd be more than happy to accept them.

You kidding? Genesis is hard to get hold of over here these days at any decent price!

Thats probably because it was the best Console ever though of course ;)

You need a Genesis in there, And probably a Sony to just to wrap everything up!

Oh and no "museum of gaming" would be complete without a Spectrum!

I added a Gameboy Color yesterday and am putting a PS2 and Super Pong in today.
