Trackball - Mame Analog Settings

Yeah, I know.. it's been asked a billion times.  I *did* search the forum, but didn't find much even though I KNOW it's been covered here before.

What settings are people using with a 3" arcade trackball in MAME Analog settings?

I know its recommended if you're doing to mouse hack to disable mouse driver acceleration.  Any other tips?  

What are some good ballpark settings for different trackball games?

I found that some games have a dip switch setting for differnt trackball (sizes?) Capcom bowling for instances has a 1, 2, 3, and 4 setting... I found 2 worked well for me... but I don't konw what "2" means =P

*shrug* any and all tips guidelines are appreciated.

I usually find that games work best with the analog controls --> sensitivty at about 2 to 2.5 times higher than a normal PC mouse (ie: the default mame setting) with 3" TBs.  Of course, normal PC mice vary too, so this is just a ball park number.  Too bad you can't edit these settings outside of mame like you can with the ctrlr.ini inputs.

What's worse is that you'll lose all your tweaks when you update MAME...
