outrun rom problem?
« on: November 07, 2004, 01:39:30 am »
I have outrun, outruna, and outrunb

all in zip form, the regular files, AND thefiles in a folder...

mamewah won't recognize any of them when I refresh the list...

it's like its pretending outrun doesn't exist.

as it is one of my fav games, i'm going crazy trying to figure this one out...

could my rom set be bad so it's not showing it? or would it show it even if it were bad?

if anyone has any clue as to why this isn't working please help me out...

unless outrun doesn't show up in the O section and it's under sega outrun or a different name, which i doubt

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
 ??? >:( :'(

Check:

You have outrun.zip in your \mame\roms folder,
You have your roms folder pointed to in mame.ini,
You have your list_generation_method set to rom_folder_vs_listxml,
You have xml2info.exe in your mame folder,
You have generated the list (Games List Options > Generate List).

It should show up as 'Out Run (set 1)' (or 'Out Run' in a filtered list).

  1) Can you run 'mame outrun' from the command-line?
  2) Can you successfully unzip the outrun.zip using the unzip.exe available from mame.net?
  3) Is the ROM verified with ClrMamePro?

Not possible, you must have missed something ;)  Check the things I listed again...

Oh and make sure you have the main list selected...
