Not to burst any bubbles, but that thing has gotten terrible reviews... it's cool looking, but apparently not much more.

Sorry.

Not to mention I see that being much worse in causing tendonitis.  With a mouse I can use my fingers to move the mouse, that gun I've got to rotate my whole wrist.

I'll stick to my nice M$ Cordless Optical Mouse 2.0 :)
Still in the collecting parts and ideas phase of cabinet building.

I'm seriously thinking about getting the MX700.  Prices have finally started to come down and I could use a new mouse for the new system I'm building.  :)

I really like mine.  I got it as a college graduation present.  It made a world of difference going from a 1 button apple mouse to the 700 with like 7 buttons.  It seems to be pretty sensitive though.  I think I need to adjust the sensitivity for more delicate actions.  Still a badass optical mouse.

Don't know if it does it on a PC , but on a mac and OSX the two buttons around the scroll wheel will switch between the programs you have open.  It will bring up a little window and you just press the button til it stops on the program you want to be in.  For $30 you can't go wrong with this mouse unless you want to look into the MX1000 coming out.

What's it been, a year? They finally removed the release date, which, I believe, previously stated 2nd quarter of 2004.

i have an mx700 but....how more badass can you make a mouse?  i mean seriously.  wireless, yeah, more buttons, yeah....but what else can you do.  have one that serves beer every time you click or something?  the only more "shiznitty" the next mouse will be is if its like integrated into your hand or something, and all you have to do is move your fingers a little. ::)

I'd sign up for that implant!
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

How much more badass?  Quite more badass actually.

- The MX1000 will be the first laser mouse... works on smooth surfaces, shiny surfaces, soft sufraces.
- 800dpi and 5.8 megapixels per second image processing.. claims to be up to 20x more accurate... but that's prolly more marketing than fact.
- New button layout (looks better IMO but haven't used it yet)
- On body battery meter.
- Supposedly better range
- Looks AWESOME (again, IMO)

I'd say its significantly more badass :)  A mouse that has the gaming ability of the MX510 and is wireless... yes please :)
