Retro Gaming Mag.
« on: August 09, 2004, 01:30:51 pm »
Does anyone know of a cheaper way to get this mag in the U.S. other than the subscription that they offer ($123 bucks!!!) ?

Or maybe there is something like it produced here.

Well, unless I'm missing something it says here that the US & Canada subscription rate is $123.

You goto remember, this is coming from the UK.  So your paying for the shipping to the US... So that's why it cost $123.

I don't think you'll get it any cheaper then that.

I understand that its expensive to ship overseas. But you can't tell me it would cost that much for 6 magazines. I mean come on. Whats the subscription cost $30-$40? If it's that much. That leaves over $80 for shipping, almost $14 a mag. whatever.

Anyway, what I was hoping for was a US distributor of R.G.M. or maybe someone knows of a similar type publication made here in the U.S.

I picked one up at Barnes and Noble for ~$10.  Not really cheaper, but you could see what it is without going full subscription.  It was two issues back though, so it might just have a huge delay.  I'm with you on the cost though, it's crazy.

I found an issue at B&N. Cost me $12+ with tax. I really like it, and now it looks like it is going monthly. But damn $123 bucks!!! I just don't know if I can justify it. It was issue 5 and 6 is allready out. Wonder how long it takes for it to get here in the central US?

Thanks for the heads up  ;)
