Star Wars Marquee Art
« on: May 18, 2004, 12:27:23 pm »
I've got some leftover marquee retainer, a spare flourescent fixture, t-molding, plenty of scrap MDF and paint.

My nephew is a Star Wars fanatic and I came up with the idea to build him a lighted Star Wars marquee sign for his room.

I've done a few googles and searches on ebay but not sure I want the older atari marquees I've found based on suspect quality.

I've found reproductions for $40.00.

The thought occurred, perhaps someone more talented than I might have some artwork they have done or be willing to undertake a project to create one.

I'm interested in something like the Atari Marquee but perhaps without "Atari" in the final design.

I wouldn't need to have printing done just someone more talented than I with graphics creation to put something together or point me to something that may have already been done.

I look forward to any and all replies.

That is a great idea! You could decorate your game room with a bunch of marquees in light boxes! That would look way cool. You could then dim the lights for an arcade type mood lighting effect.
Would work well with the light switch cover idea.
