Scooby Doo Artwork (Improving...)
« on: April 21, 2004, 03:28:31 pm »
I got a little anxious waiting for Pixelhugger to get a chance to look at my artwork and spent a bunch of time on my artwork for my cab.  I think I managed to get it to a spot where I like it.

I am attaching my updated marquee and front of the control panel.  I have a little work left on the control panel top but like where it is heading    ;)

Pixelhugger -  Thanks so much for your offer to help.  I know your work would embarass mine.  If you've done anything on it, I'd be thrilled to put it on my cab.  If not, I think I am going to run with my "little project".  It's way too much fun trying to do something that even approaches the work done by you and some of the other experts here...

Any suggestions?  Is it coming along OK?

That looks really great. The shadow on the characters on the cpo is a bit much, though.

I agree completely.  Got a little carried away with the shadows tool.  I have never used AI before and just love it.  I may need to build another cabinet just to get to play around with AI...

Here it is without the shadow.  Much cleaner.

Any other big improvements?

Here's the control panel, though I think I may have to shrink it a little based on my laptop's final mounting position    ;)

I was wondering what type of laptop you are using. Brand and speed?

Its real old.  A Celeron 400.  But I was mounting it vertically to mostly play old games and it works fine.  I switched to an older version of MAME (0.53 I think, the first command-line version) and that helped a lot.  It oculdn't handle Mamewah which I use on my main machine but I discovered Gamelauncher (which has native vertical) and really love it.

The laptop is not ideal from the sides but straight on I think it looks great.  And for a 1 player machine thats fine.  And it was free...     :)
