Jessica Simpson playing Carnival King
« on: February 05, 2004, 09:42:29 am »
Did anyone else catch Jessica Simpson playing Carnival King on Newlyweds last night? It was pretty darn tootin' funny! She was absolutely terrible!

Don't ask why I was watching it. My wife puts up with the Bearcats, Bengals, and the Reds! :D

I had heard there was to be something arcade related on it so I, too (lowers head), saw that part.  Don't forget the second machine was the Golden Tee 04.  'Kids' with too much money...

I thought it was funny that Nick bought Carnical King "Just for her"

She was trying to shot the gun by holding it down by her waist. Then asked, "Am I suppossed to look through here?" Instead of bringing the gun to her eye to look through the site, she bent down to the gun at waist level.

That game looks really fun though...assume it won't be mamed for some time since it's newer.

Definitely can't complain about the Bengals.

If I were a Bearcats fan, I guess I'd be complaining about how Pitino can revitalize Louisville.  They scare me.  They're gonna screw up a lot of brackets this year.

Oh, and the Reds...don't worry too much.  I'm a Dodgers fan, always have been...and we just might win 40 games this year.  If we're lucky.   :(

Louisville is in a little slump right now, they lost again! Got beat by Memphis. I think Patino's complaining about his bench.

UC is upsetting me because they stopped playing there full court press the entire game, can't figure out why!

Memphis, huh?  I missed that one.

Hey, by the way, isn't Cincy going to join another conference?  I heard that C-USA was breaking up or something...

And regarding the press...we used to run a full court diamond where I played in college.  It's real hard to sustain for 40 minutes.  I don't think Cincy's bench is deep enough for it.

UC and Louisville will be in the Big East...could be the toughest basketball conference in the country.

I understand that the full press is quite tiring. However, Cincy probably has the deepest bench in the NCAA. A couple times this year, Huggins has pulled the entire starting 5 and replaced them with bench players, all at once, with no drop in performance. Bobbit is tops in the NCAA (could be 2nd this week) for scoring off the bench. They have 7 guys on the bench that could start any where else.

Against Xavier, they didn't start with the press, actually, I don't think they played it at all in the first half. Only 3 turnovers in the first half. They ran it some in the 2nd and caused a lot more turn overs. Until like three games ago, UC was amongst leaders in turnovers forced and winning margin. It's like a whole different team right now. Sucks, I was hoping to see them in the Final Four!

Where did you go to colloge?

I went to Colorado College, a small Division III in Colorado Springs, about 45 minutes north of my home here in Pueblo. We were independent, as conferences go, but we played 60% of our games in the D II Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.  Good times!

The Big East will do UC some good.  That way they can actually play some schools who can challenge them.  They never did belong in C-USA, I don't care how good St Louis, Memphis, or Louisville ever are.  Heck, even the Mountain West would be better for Cincy.  They'd have gotten Utah and UNLV that way.  But, sadly, I'm afraid the ACC will always be the best conference.  Too bad, since I despise every team in the conference except Wake Forest, and that's only because of Tim Duncan, the Big Fundamental!  (Don't get me started on Duke or North Carolina!)

I didn't know the bench was that deep!  Between my alma mater, the Florida Gators, and Colorado State, I don't see much of Cincy.  Don't lose heart though, they could still make it to the Final Four.  They're always dangerous, you know.

Always good to speak with a fellow hoopster!  Did you or do you play?

I play in rec leagues. Never played in highschool or colloge, I'm only 5'6". Run a 4.3 40 though.

That's funny, I hate every team in the ACC except Wake too!

I think the Big East will help UC recruit some real players instead of the ones Huggins always gets stuck with. Once that happens, people will finally see how good of a coach Huggins really is. I mean, he's scraped players from the bottom of the barrell and gone to the final-four. He won seven straight conference titles too. I don't think they have the determination to make the Final-Four this year, but I can always hope!

I'd have loved to play any sport in college, would have been a blast!

College sports aren't all they're hyped up to be.

There's a few problems:

1.  Nagging injuries.  I've got permanent knee and shoulder problems now.  Not to mention that I'm fully convinced that the creatine abuse will catch up to me at some point.

2.  Books vs. Balls.  Which comes first?

3.  No time to earn any spending money, or go on dates, or go drinking, or whatever.  If I wasn't on the court, in the weight room, in the trainers' room, or in the cafeteria, I was studying.

Oh well.  Sorry to dump on ya.  Go Bearcats!!
