...greets all.

OK, as usual I checked and didn't see any posts on this topic...but I'm sure someone will point out that this was posted already.....but I forge on none the less to share free quality gaming info!

http://www.stepmania.com/stepmania/downloads.php

Check out Step Mania.

It's free, it's high quality, and very easy to load (hey if you can figure out Mame this is almost identical in set-up).

Also....the files are much easier to find out there!....and the music is great (OK, this is coming from someone born and raised in Brooklyn, NY so my taste in music may be a bit off!).

Any hoo....this is a Konami Dance Mania copy, but extremely well done.

You can use any dance pad w/a USB adaptor....but I set it up for use with my arcade buttons (and no I'm not fat....but I can be lazy!....and I didn't want to buy the dance pad/adaptor).

....believe it or not it's actually a lot of fun to play with the buttons...kinda' like a super high tech version of Simon.

Any hoo...go download it now....and enjoy!

Seriously. Will it fit in my basement or what?

...are the metal pads sturdy? Which ones do you have? What adaptor did you use?

I have the "MyMyBox" brand of metal pads, i bought them on ebay a while ago and since then ive seen many different kinds and most of them suck. I highly recommend the mymybox pads they are very sturdy and they are still very responsive 1 and a half years after i bought them. only thing bad that happened is i cracked 2 of the plexiglass arrows but i swapped them with the corners since i only use them to select. and you could make new ones easily from home depot im just lazy. i think it came out to about 300$ for both pads with shipping. and I use the EMS2 usb adapter, works with windows xp which is an issue with some other ones.
