Here is an online petition to remove the vile, mediocre-talented Michael Vick from the NFL completely. The bastard should never take another snap. Personally, I don't think he ever will but sign the petition below and help make sure he doesn't.

I just read today that his agent and the players union are trying to get the league to guarantee this years salary GUILTY OR NOT! Are you F'ing kidding me!?!?!?
-
I went to Virginia Tech when he was there, and I worked for their police department for a while (I guarded the supercomputer at nights on weekends) and knew some of the cops and he got away with whatever when he was there too. The guy is total scum and is just one of those people you wouldn't mind seeing thrown in a sack and beaten to death.
-
Oh, come one...thrown in a sack and beaten to death???
Why not just put him in a closed room with all of his 'pet dogs' for about an hour...if he's still alive after that...then do the sack thing.

I know it's not the popular position to take, but since the case probably wont be litigated completely until after this season, then yeah, a leave of absence should be with pay. Vick reportedly wants to play, which would be a PR nightmare to say the least. If the league wants him to sit out, then they're going to have to compensate him. A Federal grand jury indictment is a pretty nasty thing, but it isn't a conviction. Innocent until proven guilty still has some meaning in this country. FWIW I think Vick is a complete idiot, who obviously has no clue of how fortunate he was to have cashed in on his athletic talents. I felt that way before the indictment came down.
The whole episode is pretty disgusting, if anything in the reports hold true, but I still think the League has to give him his day in court. If he's convicted, have at him. There is precedent for that position - Ray Lewis stood trial for murder in 2000. There were no sanctions taken against him until he wound up pleading guilty to obstruction of justice, and then it was only a fine - no lost games.
-
Yeah, but the point you are missing, Zero, is that Lewis is good.
To call Vick a QB is an insult to all that have played that position. Just add a 2 in front of the 7, and call him what he is...a good running back.
-
From what I have read, they have video of Vick hosting the event...and ushering in a dog. Sounds like a pretty tight case to me. The way that the animal rights people in this country work means that Vick will get a harsher penalty for this than some others get for murder.
Jouster
-
Innocent until proven guilty still has some meaning in this country.
In court. Not in private business. Notice how all of his sponsors except Nike have bolted? They didn't need a conviction and neither does the NFL. The NFL is more afraid of the NFLPA suing them over Vick than they are of the PR nightmare that will be Vick playing. The main fear is that the NFL knows it has many other tens of players in dogfighting and if Vick gets tossed out the witch hunt will begin in earnest. That is where the worst PR nightmare lies... not in one player committing heinous crimes, but in the media running with a "the NFL is full of dogfighting scumbags" storyline.
-
Nothing should be done till he is proven guilty. All these companies and people losing faith in a person because of accusations not cool. If and when he is found guilty then and only then he should have to pay the price, not before.
-
IMO, who cares if the NFL suspends the guy. Personally I think suspension is not really the answer, but I do think a paid leave of absense would be right and entirely acceptible. It is common practice for police officers under investigation to be put on paid leave. Same for Teachers in most cases. Due to unions, contracts, etc. The NFL can't just suspend the guy "because he may make them look bad".
It's too late for the current crop of bad boys in the NFL. I think the new commisioners crackdown on "thug life" is a good thing for the NFL, AND all of the future prospective NFL players, and even college ball players who won't ever make it to the NFL. Think about it, if these kids know that if they do wrong that they won't make it to the NFL, they will clean up their act pretty well.
-
The free market is all about perception. Always has been, always will be. He had to have known this, too, but disregarded the risks of what would happen if the public found out he was murdering animals for giggles.
He should pay the free market price now and the criminal price when proven guilty. That is exactly what is happening.
Sharidan, they can suspend him for making them look bad. There is very strong and specific "personal conduct clauses" in every NFL contract. The union approves them and they are part of the contract template for every player. They don't use it much because the union sues them every time they try but this is probably the first time since Rae Carruth that they had an active player do something this bad.
-

He should pay the free market price now and the criminal price when proven guilty. That is exactly what is happening.
The free market being his advertising endorsements. And face it, with athletes of this caliber endorsements are worth WAY more than their actual playing contract.
-
Exactly, and all of his endorsements other than Nike are gone. Most of them were gone before this came out because of his continually embarrassing behaviour.
-
disregarded the risks of what would happen if the public found out he was murdering animals for giggles.
We do not know that yet. Believe me, i'm all for animals as a dog lover myself, but i'm also all for having the facts before we ruin a guys career and life.
He might have done it from what i can gather thus far, but we still need to be sure.
-
Us choosing not to pay to watch him play, or buy his products, is ruining his life? Companies responding to our desire to no longer associate with him, and thus no longer giving him millions simply for use of his name, is ruining his life?
Or are the consequences of his own actions ruining his life?
The feds have a 95% conviction rate. This guy is guilty as can be and dumber than that.
-

Yes it is ruining his life because he would have all that stuff in good name without these accusations.
The consequences are fine if he did it, but this far it is nothing but talk. I remember a hard and fast rule we normally go by around these parts... innocent until proven guilty, or something like that. ::) Remember?
He may as well be guilty with you people as he has no chance in any of our minds.
I'm not for what he stands for or what he probably has done, I'm for the process of finding out the truth and until then we cannot assume things based on the media.
-
BTW, the state of Virginia also is going to be releasing their indictments too.
-
As was stated earlier, "innocent until prooven guilty" is only in a court of law...that has nothing to do with the market, or public perception. It has been reported that the Feds have video from an undercover officer that shows Vick hosting the event. Even if he isn't guilty of actually putting a dog into the ring...if the video is real, he is definitely involved.
If it turns out that it is all a lie, and he honestly had no clue about any of it, he'd be able to get endorsements again...assuming he puts up decent numbers on the field.

A federal indictment is a hell of a lot more than talk. That is having one foot in prison already. Billionaire CEOs can't buy their way out from this spot. Vick is toast.
I remember a hard and fast rule we normally go by around these parts... innocent until proven guilty, or something like that. ::) Remember?
That applies to being imprisoned by the gov't, which will not happen, until after he is convicted. That has nothing to do with his value in the business world, which includes the NFL as well as any sponsorships he may have had.
He may as well be guilty with you people as he has no chance in any of our minds.
95% conviction rate. The feds don't waste time with people they cannot convict. If they did, Barry Bonds would be in prison right now.
I'm not for what he stands for or what he probably has done, I'm for the process of finding out the truth and until then we cannot assume things based on the media.
It's not based on the media. It is based on the text of a federal indictment. Lots of people were still behind him until that indictment hit the public... now most of even people in Atlanta are like WTF get this guy out of here kthx.
Due process applies to imprisonment and thus far he has not been imprisoned. Everything else is free market consequence.
-
95% conviction rate. The feds don't waste time with people they cannot convict. If they did, Barry Bonds would be in prison right now.
No doubt on that one. They won't throw out the indictment flag until they are DAMN sure they have untouchable evidence.
-
Things are not as black and white as you would like them to be. I've heard that they are making an example to the world with Vick and trying to get to bigger and "badder" dog fighters.
And i wouldn't use the US government's involvement as credibility to a conviction in any situation anymore, these days. Unfortunately the times have already proven in many situations (WMD) that it means little to nothing what they think they know.

Tommy, do you actually understand what it means to be indicted by the feds?? Chad mentioned it twice, the feds have a 95% conviction rate. They don't indict innocent people.
You're living in a fantasy world if you think the charges against Vick are nothing but talk. You need to wake up.
-
Did he just compare a federal indictment to the WMD situation?
-
Did he just compare a federal indictment to the WMD situation?
Chad, you beat me to it!
Tommy, that was just hilarious...
-
Did he just compare a federal indictment to the WMD situation?
The US goverment is not the know all we would like them to be.
-
Actually, it would be sort of funny, if they dug up the missing WMDs on Vick's dogfighting complex.
-
Tommy, have you actually read the indictment?

Just to make it clear to you, Bush is not involved with the Vick situation. Calm down now ok? Talk about painting a broad black/white stroke. ;D
-
Thank heavens for small favors... if Bush were heading up this indictment Vick would go free for sure. Plus they'd end up building three new stadiums for the Falcons, with fields 85 yards long, in Utah. The Falcons' locker room would be moved to Cuba and Vick would be benched in favor of Drew Bledsoe for their new option offense.
-
Find this thread and bring it back up when it's all over.
-
Are you kidding? This thread may never die. It's great fun. I can't stand the Falcons.
-
Yea, I hate the Falcons almost as much as the Giants! ;D
-
Yea, I hate the Falcons almost as much as the Giants! ;D
Yeah the SF Giants are bad without Bonds. ;D
-
I don't mind the Giants except for Sheli. Sheli makes me laugh. It's like all the idiocy and incompetence that isn't in Peyton was jammed into Sheli to balance things out.
One of my very favorite NFL moments EVER was a couple minutes into Sheli's NFL debut against the Eagles... he drops back to pass, gets confused, runs left, turns back to run right and discovers that NFL D linemen don't play that. Worst QB hit that season and I was shocked he got up at all. :laugh2: :laugh2:
-
Now we can bring this thread back up for two reasons. :applaud:
-
Yea, I hate the Falcons almost as much as the Giants! ;D
Yeah the SF Giants are bad without Bonds. ;D
Good point, I hate both Giants, SF and NY...
-
All you big talkers with big mouthes, have the balls to bet cash that the giants make it to the playoffs with manning.
Just name it.
-
I don't care if they win the Super Bowl, I still won't like them or Eli.
-
I don't care if they win the Super Bowl, I still won't like them or Eli.
Yeah, i'll watch you all fold faster than a wet deck of cards. ;D
-
I've never tried to fold wet cards... why would your cards be wet? Did you spill your drink on them?
-
I've never tried to fold wet cards... why would your cards be wet? Did you spill your drink on them?
No, it's the tears of the losers next to me.
-
Actually, it is because of balls, that I won't bet. I don't gamble.
The Giants are going to be looking at a top 8 draft pick next year. They will never be able to recover Tiki's production. Jacobs is a 2 yards and a cloud of dust back, Droughns is old and Sheli is going to learn by the second quarter of the first game just how much he misses Luke Petitgout.
-
That's all well and good, but if you have not come to backup your mouth with a bet then there is no point.
-
Yes, because placing money at stake on something proves commitment and engagement. ::)
Some people don't gamble. Not hard to grasp.
-
Yes, because placing money at stake on something proves commitment and engagement. ::)
Some people don't gamble. Not hard to grasp.
Maybe you should think before you commit and engage your mouth then. ;D
-
I don't see my comments as embarrassing.... like comparing a federal indictment to the WMDs. :laugh2:
Making a bet proves nothing other than that both people have a bad habit.
-
We have been over this betting thing many times before with you, and until you agree you're just talking out of your ass and do not intend to back it up.
Anyone can just type things at random about things.
-
Point of disagreement - a bet isn't backing anything up. It's idiocy. Like smoking.... an unhealthy behavior.
If you want to back up words, find some pads, and we'll back up words on a football field. I would do that all day long. :)
-
We are not talking about you beating me at football, i cannot simulate you VS me as a giants and manning doing something that you say he or they cannot do.
-
Not, but we could try it. Fun for all involved.
Hell, I'd settle for Tecmo Bowl.
I think it's time for football again.
-
Come on, you're an old guy past his prime while i'm a 29 year old in shape guy and can still kick some ass when needed.
How can we play tecmo online btw?
-
The difference between 29 and 32 isn't much, bro, and I'm in plenty decent condition. I'd say I'm about a month out of the shape I was in while I was still playing. I was always pretty particular about having better cardio than most guys... makes the 4th quarter much easier and prevents a lot of injuries.
I have no idea how to play Tecmo Bowl online. If that can be done we should set up a BYOAC tournament.
-
I don't remember if a SNES emulator has an online option or not, though i'd rather play the NES version.
If i do not find out maybe someone can post here how it can be done if they know.
You will lose.
-
The only thing that matters is who gets the Raiders.
That person wins.
-
Haha, you can have them. I'll take the Giants.
If Bo is not excellent you have no chance, if he is you still have no passing while i have both passing a good running backs.
-
Bo Jackson is unstoppable. Tecmo Bowl Bo Jackson could find the WMDs, negotiate a peace in Palestine, rebuild New Orleans, and get the 2007 NY Giants into the playoffs.
Okay, maybe that last one is pushing the envelope.
-
We have been over this betting thing many times before with you, and until you agree you're just talking out of your ass and do not intend to back it up.
Yes, too many times in fact. YOU single handedly ruined the BYOAC fantasy football group with your betting talk. Talk about sucking the fun out of the atmosphere... ::)
-
Okay, maybe that last one is pushing the envelope.
No, he would do it, and also save little Timmy from the well after each touchdown.
-
Bo Jackson, curing a new type of cancer every time he breaks 100 yards.
On a single carry.
-

I did not mean to do that. You could also say that the ones who did not agree to bet ruined it, as if they did things would be fine, no? Either way, you should never let one person ruin anything for you.
Anyway, this may not be exactly what we are looking for but it appears it is possible. http://digg.com/gaming_news/Online_Emulators_(Tecmo_Bowl_Online)

Tied 14-14, Eli Manning tucked the ball on third and 18 and ran while open receivers kept running and running and running as if they could ever get out of the back of the Tecmo end zone. I try not to pounce on Mannings, but hey you pooped your pants and boo that decision, Elisha.

I did not mean to do that. You could also say that the ones who did not agree to bet ruined it, as if they did things would be fine, no?
By that idiotic logic, if the bet was too large for you, then YOU'D be the one ruining it. It's stupid logic all the way around ::)
Tommy's logic:
If people don't do what I want them to do, then THEY are the ones ruining it for everyone, and not me, because I can't fathom the concept of "betting doesn't make something better or worse, nor does betting constitute a method of demonstrating your belief in something as being accurate".
You're beyond dumb with your statement that "others ruined it". No wonder you're willing to give Vick all the rope in the world to hang himself. He's a degenerate gambler like you, therefore he's simply "backing up" his statements.
:tool:
As for Vick, I'm hoping to see a reply from all the effed-up idiots who want to put forth the idea that he's simply being "persecuted because he's black" - none of you here have said it, but anyone who follows sports and listens to any amount of sports talk radio has to have heard the mindless idiots willing to absolve this criminal of animal cruelty simply because of his skin color.
For those who can grasp the 95% figure that Tommy is apparently unable to, it now sure makes a HELL of a lot more sense about his Weed(er) Bottle incident at the airport - let him slide on that one because there's a BIGGER payoff, and we'll revisit that incident if need be.
Is Vick's retarded brother in jail, or will we hear stories about him being involved too?
-

You must still have some bad feelings about the last byoac football league if you're so lame as to make a point of this here and now.
What happened, you can't go on with a byoac league without me? I'm so powerfull that i can ruin it all for hundreds of potential players here. Right. Idiot.
I sure give you the credit though, you can make a ---smurfy--- argument with just about anything givin to you.

That's right... Bonds never tested positive. He sure as hell did it but so did most of MLB in those years.
Let's not compare drug use to the type of animal cruelty in that indictment.
The ref scandal actually is worse, but it's really not, because no one gives a crap about the NBA anyway.
-
If we can get back to Mr. Vick for a minute...He is a representative of his employer, the NFL, and his contract likely has morality clauses in it that would allow the NFL to suspend him without pay or even fire him prior to a criminal conviction based on the video and alleged gambling alone. I wouldn't be surprised to find that his career is kaput! Especially in light of the league's announced determination in the off season to reign in unruly players and make examples out of as many as it takes to bring order to off field antics. I believe they are truly tired of star players being gunned down in boobie bar parking lots or spending the off season in jail.
-
I put $100 down that he never plays in an NFL game again.
-
By the way, how soon til we see the race card thrown in on this?
There hasn't been any "black leader" willing to attach himself to Vick, but there's plenty of morons around this country willing to believe Vick is being singled out for being black. Nevermind the fact they're willing to overlook the fact that if these stories that've come out prove to be true, he's a scumbag jerkoff the likes of which you rarely, if EVER, hear about on the nightly news.
I'm betting there's still people who are amazed that there's actual dogfights that go on in this country.
The b-ball ref thing revolves around betting on games, some of which he was a part of. The Vick fiasco revolves around a LARGE group of --bags of cream-filled twinkies-- mistreating animals, involved in criminal activity with animals, and behaving in a manner that damn near defies belief.
When comparing the scale and scope of the two topics, I don't see how a single person (or at the very least, FAR less people) involved in criminal activity is far worse than a group of people involved in SEVERAL criminal activities.
I put $100 down that he never plays in an NFL game again.
Tommy's up for gambling. I'll just stick to hoping Vick sees the inside of a 5x7 for eleventy years and/or gets equal treatment - the same as he saw fit to give those animals.
It's amazing out of this whole thread you chose to grab that one little bit of info and make a point of it. I addressed what he said real quick and really did not care about it.
What's amazing is that you haven't discounted, nor defeated, any of the points I brought up. What's even more amazing is that you seem to think it's "one little bit of info", while you had more than just "one little comment" on the subject. The final kicker in the festering pile of "amazing" is that you're so blind that you haven't realized that I (me, dk, drewkaree, whoever/whatever) wasn't the person who brought up the fact that you crapped all over something with your inanity and thick-headedness, it was ANOTHER member here, and that repeatedly, your stance on betting is proven again and again to be nothing more than foolish machismo that has little basis in what you view as "fact".
I've taken a point you STILL can't grasp and attempted to make you understand via osmosis - beating it into your head so only the truly daft couldn't pick up on it. It's damn near laughable that you - someone so obstinate that repeated demonstrations of the point can't penetrate your skull - view this as "bad feelings", while STILL going on about how "if you look at it, it's THEIR fault". You STILL don't get it, and the only person with "bad feelings" seems to be the one wanting to blame OTHERS for what a majority of people have spoken up about.
We WILL go on with a league, whether you're in it or not. You're thinking far too highly of yourself, given the time frame you probably can't seem to keep track of. Given the fact that I wasn't the one who stated that you ruined the experience for them, methinks you'll have a hard time with the facts I just tried jamming into your earhole since you seem to be under the impression that it was my point. You're the TA Pilot of betting. Congrats :applaud:

(A quote from Tommy on 7/23/07, bold by me...sorry I couldn't figure out how to get it to do one of those "official" looking quote thingies - post was too far down, I guess).
:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:
Oh, COME on. Don't try and feed me this line of reasoning. I see it on a nearly a daily basis on here. Of course you and I base our thoughts on what the media tells us. If the media tells us someone kills a member of their family, for example, we automatically think "God, what a sick person - how could he / she do that?" without knowing a damn thing about the case or the person and what set them off...and we convict them in the court of public opinion before ANY truth is ever known (maybe the woman was being beaten and kills the husband to end it, etc). It's the same thing here...and if you don't believe it, you're either lying, or a hypocrite, or both.
As for Vick, I'm just flat out sick of him. I don't want him representing my team nor my city in any way (and I just read where the NFL has benched him for now, thank God). I saw where someone said the rate of conviction with the Feds was 95 percent, and I have actually heard it stated on sports talk down here that it's more like 99 percent. In other words, the Feds don't come for you, I've heard it said, unless they have an air tight case. What more do I need to know the guy is guilty of something? He made his bed, now let him lie in it.
-
If the media tells us someone kills a member of their family, for example, we automatically think...
OMFG!!! THEY'VE ALREADY FOUND THE BODIES!!! DRIVE FASTER!!! DRIVE FASTER!!!! :scared
Don't get me wrong, I'm not supporting random murders, but some of us had the kind of childhood that means we don't give family members a free pass when it comes to opportunistic humour.

There hasn't been any "black leader" willing to attach himself to Vick, but there's plenty of morons around this country willing to believe Vick is being singled out for being black.
Russell Simmons and Sharpton came out against him. (http://www.sixshot.com/news/7444/)
-
Just another reason to like Russell Simmons. How Al "the racist" Sharpton got caught on the right side of a race issue is beyond me. Maybe he's contemplating another run for President :dunno
I wonder if this means we can count on Jessie to speak out for Vick like he did for the idiots getting into fights at high school football games - places where the crap that Vick is doing is looked UP to because he's "made it".
Barkley was an idiot to claim he wasn't a role model, although he DID make a better point that parents should be the role models. Just a shame he didn't grasp that what SHOULD happen and what happens IRL aren't always the same, and more often than not, don't match up.
-
Chad mentioned it twice, the feds have a 95% conviction rate. They don't indict innocent people.
As evidenced by the people in prison being released every so often due to new advances in technology. Sure...the government never imprisons the innocent. ::)
However, if they do have video of him...let the ---smurfette--- take it up the ass in prison.
-
However, if they do have video of him...let the ---smurf--- take it up the ass in prison.
He'll have guys clamoring over each to to BE his ---smurfette---. Just because he's going to jail, doesn't mean he won't be rich any more.
-
I like to think 95% of his wealth will have been eaten by his lawyers by then.
Then he spends 4 years in jail on a 6 year sentence.
Then he plays two years in the CFL and we never hear from him again.
-
I just can't think that another NFL team will pass on Vick and his supposed "great player" status at some point after it's all over.
-
He won't be running a 4.3 after 4 years in a 6x6 room.
-
He won't be running a 4.3 after 4 years in a 6x6 room.
I honestly doubt he will spend time in jail. If he offers a very large amount of money to whoever, he can find a way around it.
-
You just don't seem to grasp the difference between being indicted by the feds and being indicted by a state/county.
Billionaire CEOs can't buy off the feds.
-
Billionaire CEOs can't buy off the feds.
But they can have a coincidental heart attack to keep from going to jail for the rest of their life. ;)
-
The funny thing is that they have still not just come right out and said, "that's it, MV will no longer play or have anything to do with the Falcons" They are waiting for the facts, as they should be.
-
The article I read said that the NFL asked the Falcons to hold off...and that they were ready to sit Vick for at least 4 games.

They aren't waiting on facts, they're waiting on advice from the attorneys as the best way to get rid of him without getting their asses sued off by the Union.

Ding ding ding!
As always, what's interpreted as "the truth" is ultimately nowhere near the truth, and is far more likely to be based on money and the removal of it from another via the legal process.
Although even with Chad pointing this out, it still seems as if Tommy's holding to the idea of "innocent until proven guilty and I'm ignoring the court of public opinion".
I think Tommy forgot the P&R forum here, where "guilt" is demonstrated to be a public opinion poll and perception is held onto for far longer than the time it takes for the innocence to be proven (some, including Tommy, STILL hang onto their own version of "the truth")
-
The reasoning behind the Falcons suspending Vick was because that would have made him eligible for practice. THAT is why Goodell stepped in and said "Not so fast!" ;)
your darn straight the falcons would like to have the multimillion dollar investment on the field.
-
They aren't waiting on facts, they're waiting on advice from the attorneys as the best way to get rid of him without getting their asses sued off by the Union.
Yeah, the advice they would and will give will be when the accusations are proven or not. They cannot legally do anything until then.
-
No, won't be anything like that. The only relevant facts are the facts as laid out in the NFLPA-NFL contract. The facts of his indictment aren't at all relevant.
-

Yeah, the advice they would and will give will be when the accusations are proven or not. They cannot legally do anything until then.
That is why Goodell has been working on his new conduct policy.

See if Tank Johnson or Adamn Jones agrees with your crack assessment.
-
From the article: Goodell might be wishing right now that he hadn't established the precedent with Jones that the league will suspend players without waiting to see how the legal process plays out.

How is it that you read that and don't comprehend that you just proved my point or that it some twisted way could POSSIBLY agree with yours? :dizzy:
-
Wow... free market is killing this guy now... Reebok is pulling his jersey from stores, Nike suspended their ridiculously large contract with him... he's even being pulled from packs of football cards now... what is next, getting slapped by his mama on TV?
-
Oh...when is that airing...I wanna dvr it!!

I was just given this by a friend. I encourage everyone to call...
PLEASE CROSS POST
I now have the official phone number for NFL Headquarters, based in
New York City.
That number is: 1-212-450-2000
The switchboard hours are from 8:30AM to 7:00PM, Eastern Standard
Time.
According to someone who told someone who told someone (sigh), there
is now an option on their menu that asks if you wish to see Mike Vick
SUSPENDED.
So please pass this number along to every single animal-lover you
possibly can, and post it in all your groups, and ask each of those
people to do the same, and to phone 1-212-450-2000 to demand that
Mike Vick be suspended from the National Football League.
Thank you!
-
Nothing has been proven yet and you would sure look like an ass if he was found innocent.
I think you have done something but i really have no idea, give me your work number so i can get you fired.
-
He's guilty dude. Accept it.
-
"I think you have done something" does not equal federal indictment.
Dude is as guilty as could be. Read the indictment. That stuff is foul.
-
One of Vick's boys has copped a plea... he'll very likely be playing witness. Vick has even less chance now.
-

Given that Vick hasn't been fired, your statements don't even begin to approach equality. I know in your mind, being dropped from advertisements and whatnot equals being fired, so I'll stop you from making an ass of yourself; he's already been PAID for that stuff, and them pulling him from spokesperson status doesn't remove money from his bank account.
The guy, whether found guilty of dog fighting or not by the court system, is CERTAINLY guilty of the piss-poor-est decision making of NFL players since Rae Carruth & Ray-Ray. There is no "YOU look like an ass", there is only "MICHAEL VICK looks like an ass", and his guilt or innocence will do absolutely nothing to change that fact.
You're wanting to argue something that is inarguable, and you can't even comprehend why, only that you believe this somehow has one whit to do with "innocent before proven guilty".
In the world you're inhabiting, girls also fart rainbows and everyone rides around on unicorns to pick up their checks for being supar teh nicez ::)

I see the Giants are already falling apart... Strahan has decided it's his turn to eff up the team. :laugh2:

Bear down.

If you didn't already know this from his announcing career, this just in:
Deion Sanders is an idiot, but STILL is smrt enough to not argue that Vick was wrong! (http://www.news-press.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070722/COLUMNISTS41/70722009)
BTW, the effin' dolt sees investigations of dogfighting as the equal of friggen MYSPACE?!?!? :o :o :o
Stupidity like Deion's should cause slow unceasing pain :banghead:
-
Maybe, maybe not. He's trying to be the voice of reason in terms of temperance. Sure, we all know the stuff is pretty bad, but then look at the PETA idiots running around demanding he get the death penalty. That is just as unreasonable. It's not going to be a popular position, of course, but Sanders seems to be trying it anyway. He is supposedly a man of God, remember.

Won't matter to the PETA army.
I watched countless Pedro interviews when he was in Boston... I'm mostly looking forward to hearing him say "what I do with my cock is my business" on national TV.
-
...plus there is a big difference between a rooster and a dog. In America we eat roosters but not a dog.
I've been to an (illegal) cockfight. I didn't much care for it...but I was there. I'd never consider going to a dog fight.
-
I thought I heard that many cockfights end with one of them fleeing the arena. Is that right, or are they forced like dogs to stay until only one is left standing?
Do we eat roosters? I know we eat the females...but the males?
-

Do you really think the PETA police are going to make that distinction?
It wouldn't surprise me if we eat the males - we have to keep females around to reproduce and make eggs to eat. You need a whole group of females for that but only one male.
-
That's one lucky rooster!!
I made this to show my PETA appriecation:

We sure do. They're called capons and they're castrated roosters.
