happ 8 way heavy duty flight stick with trigger mod...
« on: March 29, 2010, 05:02:16 pm »
so i have the 8 way heavy duty stick... its black and ugly

i ordered the GGG blue housing for it... and im excited to change it around, except after looking closer to the stick.. what the heck kind of screwdriver is that to take it apart? its like a 6 star that is hollowed out.. whats it called? i will need this to changte the housing. ive already modded the inside with the tron restrictor that i purchased Encryptor, and used Bender's instructions... works brilliantly

i have a dream authentics cabinet... and am slowly becoming a hobbyist, modifying it to do the things i really want it to do. looking forward to building my own cabs in the future.

any advice on tools that i should really have, always welcome.. u know stuff like a wood boring 1-1/8" bit for buttons...

thanx much

found the bit/ screwdriver thing i needed for the flightstick.. they guy at lowes couldnt tell me a name.. orther then some kind of torq driver. the bit is the t-20.

i swapped out the original black housing with the new blue tron one from GGG. it was great. i did buy the extra trigger parts to go with it... unfortunately, the micrswitch trigger from the original was soldered on. i chose to go with the original. my black heavy duty 8 way also had the 2 thumb buttons as well. after taking a good look at the work, ive decided to leave things as they were. you cant tell micro switch wise...

i think ill LED it up next week and see if we can make it look any cooler

:)
