I remember in the 80's each time it went up or came back for the landing it was a big deal.

they use to gather the whole school up just to watch it take off and land while on tv.

now it seems like there coming and going weekly and at time like this being at war and a bad economy we dont need to be going back and forth so often or pretty much weekly for that matter.

I mean the science of it and what we learn from it is great but for the cost at times like this there is better things to spend the money on plus they dont really let anyone know what is really going on up there.

The Native Americans are going to protest the Columbus Day parade and Silvio, Bobby, and a group of others get pissed off about it.  It's pretty funny.   Tony doesn't appreciate their intervention.  Ralph Cifaretto has a good scene with the leaders of the Native Americans (if I remember correctly).

Space exploration....pfft, whatev

We have reached our limits & lost all reason to travel space other than to mine Helium-3 & even then we are better & more efficient on the ground in a lab creating optical black holes for solar panels to utilize 100% of that damn cosmic space radiation...er sunshine I mean. Other solar systems are so far away that we would have to replicate ourselves during transit a few million times & then support that cloned life by using recyclable water/food/air while flying spaceships utilizing perpetual motion. We cant even maintain a fiat currency without inflation so that ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- aint happening.

& for what? Our planet wont even exist to get the message or results.

To truly travel space we need another stoner like Carl Sagan doing math & working @ CERN.....thats where we make it happen. Getting all baked & pranking other dimensions with your graviton cell phone.
