Need Help Identifying Hantarex monitor (Pics Inside)
« on: October 09, 2009, 02:58:11 pm »
Hey all! It's been a long time since I've been on the forums, but after a 4 year hiatus I'm finally getting back to starting my MAME project. Don't ask... =)

So, quick background. About 4 years ago I picked up a 25" Hantarex monitor that had just been recapped. It's been in the packing box ever since and I pulled it out last night so I could google up all the info. I've looked at all the monitor ID sites trying to figure out exactly what model this thing is but I haven't been able to find the exact match. It looks similar to the MTC-9100 but not quite, so I thought I would post some pics to see what the gurus thought. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've googled every number I can find on the chassis to no avail. Included with the monitor was the PS, the extension and remote control for the sync controls, the isolation transformer and some other part I'm not sure about. =)

Any ideas?

Sorry to bump this again, but I have a couple more questions. I've looked at the manuals for both the 9000 and the 9110 and am wondering if this is actually a 9110. Of course the board schematics in the manual show the same exact part # and layout for both models, but it looks like the 9000 series only went up to 20", while the 9110 came in 25" and 28".

I guess my question is, does it actually matter? Do they wire up the same way, is there anything I need to know specific to one model or the other? The only real difference I can see between the two models is the size and the thermostat on the heat sink of the 9110.

Sorry for my obvious amateur questions. I know computers and woodworking, but I have NO experience with working with arcade monitors. I don't want to do something really stupid and blow this thing plugging it in.  :embarassed:
