I went to look at his pins on Tuesday night. He had a bunch of new pins than when I visited 3 or so years ago. He had a Pinball Magic, which was flippin' AWESOME!!

The games up on the trade block were: Whodunnit, Austin Powers, and Taxi.

Whodunnit was definitely the best of the group. It also had the benefit of needing no work at all. It's in excellent shopped out shape. Austin Powers was an unshopped route game that appeared to be fully functional. Taxi was shopped, but still needed the repro insert decals installed.

I made an offer on the Whodunnit, and it will be dropped off and the PotC picked up tommorrow night. The main thing I learned while playing all the other Sterns he had, was that PotC is a FAR better game than I ever gave it credit for until recently. The toys are on a whole different level than most other Stern games. It will go in his perm collection, so I'll see it again.

Tonight we will be taking off the glass and whippin' Davy Jone's ass all over the place. hehe.

Nice.  I'd have gone for Taxi, myself, but this has still worked out very nicely.

I was excited when he threw taxi on the block, but even my wife found the rules lacking. Oh yeah, my wife pays attention to rules sets.

Just be glad you skipped Austin Powers.  As a general rule any game with a toilet on the playfield belongs in one.

The toilet on Southpark is fun. The toilet on Austin Powers is...just wrong.

Overall, I find it is like the movie: fun to watch once every few years, but not something I could subject myself to on a daily basis.

Taxi's okay but there's nothing to it.  They're usually beat to hell, too.

Games that are usually beat to hell are beat to hell for a reason...  ;D

Yeah, they just beat themselves to hell, I guess.

More like the paint just starts falling off.  Cheapest inks ever.

There's a reason Williams switched to Diamond plate people... take off the rose colored glasses.

Yeah, technological improvement.  Progress doesn't necessarily imply the prior tech was crap.

South Park might be the worst pinball machine I've ever played. By the end of ball 2 it's a guarantee that you'll have seen every mode it has to offer unless you're inept.

Deal is done, and the Whodunnit is set up. I went ahead and made some felt leg protectors since I had to put them on anyways. I increased the playfield angle a bit, but I have to put it back - it makes the center ramp thing reject too many balls.

I also got rid of the 720 at the same time.

Cause if you didn't get at least $1,000 cash you got jacked.

Let's just say I did not get jacked. It was significantly more than $1000.

Where was this?  I could sware I saw a CL ad, maybe ebay, with this exact lineup.

Pure coincidence, because none of these games were up for public offering.
