Hi All,

Thought I would post a quick arcade project.

It took only 3 days to build and completed nothing to fancy as very busy building a house soon. The next project will be much more improved with custom metal cabinet and custom control's as X-Arcade is a little to close for 2 player.

Hope you like it.

Hardware Specs:
Monitor - 42" Acer LCD
AMP - 5 Watt RMS amp
Speakers - 4 of them
X-Arcade dual
PC - e8400@4ghz, 8800GT.

Cabinet Specs:
3 x 2400X1200X18 MDF
4 Litre of Stone Paint (Black)

Costs:
42" LCD second hand - $250
Amp - $30
Speakers - $30
X-Arcade - $190
PC - approx $600
Timber - $100
Paint - $100

Total Approx - $1300

Games we use on it: Street Fighter 4, Tekken 5 (PS2 emu), Counter Strike Source, Mame classics.

Cheers
Bob

Very Nice, that thing is huge, how do you get it into the house?

3 days...
Your quick, takes me that long to open a paint can.
Don't know if you have the inclination
but, that could be modified to be a video pinball
machine as well. It seems like it might have
a long enough body for it,
could be an interesting design.

good job..........whether you know it or not....you left alot open for mods with your design..........

I'm seeing gun holsters

maybe even a retractable steering wheel for driving games.

I can see the pinball thing working only thing is you have such an overpowering upper screen.  You would have to extend the lower section and get a comparable screen to balance it out.  It it possible though....

As you can tell, no one likes to see wasted space on a cab......... :)

As a last resort, you might find you a good airbursh artist to draw you up a design and brush it on..........

Yeah, you know after looking at this
for awhile, if you could extend the "table" portion
just a bit more you could fit a nice size pinball play field monitor
in between the controls and the speakers.
That would be pretty damn awesome to go along with that
great screen you got now, and could really make this design
totally kick butt!
