Heat, is it a problem?

well, I'm working on a MAME cab and  the TV and PC both seem to run fairly cool, but i don't want to have issues down the road with overheating.
so my question is, is heat dissipation a big issue with MAME cabinets?
and if it is, how did you solve it?

both fairly low, or one at the very bottom and one above the monitor?

I usually just use 1 fan blowing air out and a few strategically placed inlets

I have two openings at the very bottom (not back) of my cab and then there is a blowhole on the top.

I have no fans or vent holes.  Never had a problem with heat.

I have no fans in my cab but the access panel on the back of my cab is made of peg board. No issues with heat for me.

I stuck some vents in the bottom, and I have a 13" square hole at the top just under the monitor to exit the rising heat, and I've never had an issue using just natural air flow - it always seems quite cool in there. Fans could only help though I suppose.

I just have mine de-cased and sitting in the bottom of the cab. No extra ventilation or anything.
My original cab is going on 5 years old running like this with no issues, but it's only a 2ghz single core Pentium 4.  :dunno
