Neo Geo 2 slot problem....
Oni2382:
Whats up everyone? So i have this Neo Geo 2 slot PCB that has one of the gold plated connectors damaged and has some charring on the solder side of the PCB. The connector coincides with video GRN wire with JAMMA harnesses. Games boot up and work however, the picture is ghostly white. Is this an easy fix that's a DIY, or will I need to send this off somewhere to get repaired??
HaRuMaN:
What's on the other side of that charring? Did something burn up?
Jack Burton:
Bizarre. The first thing that comes to mind is to just solder in the connection on that broken edge connector and see if that helps. It sure isn't supposed to be like that so I guess you will have to fix it anyway.

From what I could see it's only charred on the solder side. The resistors and everything on the other side look fine. I brought a neo cab, that came with this eboard like this. I brought it with the condition of the PCB unkown since it was missing a power supply. I didn't pay much for the cab so I'm not sweating bullets (yet.)

Ick ... FWIW, channelmaniac is my Go-to-guy for all things Neo-Geo.
