Top Mounted U360 Question

(1/2) > >>

Punisher:
This might be a stupid question but here it goes.  If you top mount a U360 and then cover it How do you remove it if you need to replace or fix it?  Don't they have screws holding the stick to the mounting bracket in the top?  I'm trying to decide wether I need to order the longer shafts and bottom mount the sticks.

Virge:
If you were gonna replace it, yes, you would have to take the top covering off.  I bottom mounted mine but I routered them in from underneath and never had to go with the longer shafts.  Seem to stick up far enough.

severdhed:
i'd recommend against the longer shafts.  i had them installed for a while, but even with the stiffer springs, they felt a little mushy, and the throw was really long.  after going back to the standard shafts, they feel much better

I have the longer shafts on my bottom mounted U360's and they feel fine. Just make sure in addition to the stiff springs you use the circular restrictor.

Ginsu Victim:
Yeah, if using the long shafts, a restrictor is a must! The throw is too much with the regular shaft and even longer with the long one.
