Hey guys. I just had a Jamma cab delivered yesterday and it seems I may have managed to FUBAR it already  :'(

I've attached some pics to the bottom of this post if they help

Its a Jamma cab with a dual Jamma board with Tumble Pop and Carrier Air Wing plugged into it.

After receiving and powering it on I noticed the screen was very blue. I played it for a while and came back to it today. After looking at the monitor I could see there were some pots on the neck board and some on the main monitor board (chassis??). I turned the blue pot down on the neck board as much as possible and also played with the brightness and contrast. This improved things slightly but its still very blue.

This is where the real problems start.

I also bought a Neo Geo MVS MV-1FZ board and some MVS carts. I plugged the board into the Jamma connector yesterday and I got sound and video but the video looked like it was scrolling horizontally very fast.

Today I thought I would plug the MVS board into the Jamma and see if tweaking the horizontal hold pot would fix it. I unplugged the main Jamma connector from the dual Jamma board and for some reason I turned the cab on with nothing connected. All I got was a blue screen and I then realised that I had forgot to plug the MVS board in. I turned the cab off and plugged the MVS board in but I still get the same screen after powering on. I'm getting no sound at all, even when inserting coins.

I have also put the Jamma connector back how it was (into the dual Jamma board) but I still just get the dark blue screen.

One thing I have noticed is that the main Jamma connector is slightly damaged and the left hand side of it is broken. This would potentially mean that the connector could be plugged in when its not lined up correctly. Would this have caused my problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated  :'(ac

Very strange. I just left it for 1/2 an hour whilst taking pics and uploading photos etc and thought I would turn it on one last time. Some freaking how IT WORKS!

Any ideas why it stopped working and now works again?

I don't really want to play around with it anymore until I get some advice. Any ideas about the blue tint on the monitor and the video issue with the MVS board.

MVS isnt 100% jamma compatible, I'd get a MVS to JAMMA adapter.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

I thought the slot ones were JAMMA?

Since it's switchable, could you have switched it without knowing?

Single slots are. He'll just be missing the fourth button.

Yeah it should work fine, the guy I bought it off had it in his 15khz Jamma I thinjk there must be something funky going on somewhere. He also gave me a supergun with it. He said it works fine with that to but I havent had chance to test it.

I'm more concerned right now about the blue tint on the monitor, any ideas about that?

Weird, I know I was THINKING single slot when I typed that out, but I guess the brain is a bit tired today.
