Paint removal question
« on: May 16, 2009, 06:46:32 pm »
Best method?

I tried using stripper from the store. I was told it works great and will not hurt vinyl Well, that was not true. Good thing I tested in small area. It took the ink off the vinyl underneath so stripper is OUT.. I tried just pealing but that isn't working either. I really need to find something like stripper but less harmfull on the vinyl..

Any suggestions?

What kind of paint is it? You can try fumeless oven cleaner but I would for sure test on a small area.

Latex, cause It is rubbery, and it peeled off of one side pretty good. The other side however isn't peeling at all.. it's a much thiner layer.
