AUTOMATIC DVD AND CD RIPPING

Good day everyone. I have an old pc that i am going to convert into a media server that will sit in my closet. Sort of like a NAS. What i am looking for. And i have looked everywhere to no avail. Is a program that will Automaticly rip my dvd's into divx when i place a dvd into the drive. I was hoping DVDFAB would work but does not look like it. I was also looking for an application that would do the same for cds and convert them to mp3.
