Hello all. I have been silently lurking here for some time, but never posted before.
Before i start, just like to thank Circo for all the hardwork over at EmuMovies, and the rest of the BYOAC community for the help this forum has been to me over the past year or so.
I have just logged on to the new Emumovies ftp server to have a look around and believe i have spotted a problem reguarding a maximum directory listing limit on some of the larger dirs. I thought i'd post details here, see if any of you guys have experienced this or if its me being daft and missing something obvious

Any how, here is what im experiencing and an exerpt from an email i sent circo to see what he thinks:
"Im not by anymeans an expert with ftp, but i have in the past come across a 2000 file directory listing limit on other ftp servers. Many servers will only return a dir list of 1998 files (plus the two directory entries '.' and '..') to the client. I believe this behaviour can be observed on the new EmuMovies ftp, for example in the MAME video sets.
I am using Filezilla as my ftp client connected to the new ftp as per new login info received.
I was looking at the Mame .128 HQ Video set (/(HiQ) Videos - Official [AVI] [640x480]/Arcade/Mame .128) and notice it stops @ mjdchuka.avi. There are a total 1998 files listed in the dir and i would expect their to be about 1350 more videos from mjclinic.avi to zzyzzyxx.avi, so with the serverside 2000 file limit imposed, it is impposible to see the remaining files. I think the remaining files are on the server, but the server will not return the full list to the client.
At first i attributed this to the ongoing ftp repopulation, but then i remember that on the old ftp server, the MAME .128 Snapshots directory listing also stopped @ mjdchuka.avi. At the time a thought nothing of it as I already had the snapshots for .128 and did not dig any further.
If you add the whole .128 HQ video set to the transfer queue, only the 1998 files are added. In order to see files above this limit, a user would need to delete files from the ftp server side directory, not somehing anyone wants to happen im sure!
I know having all the videos in one folder makes things easier, but unless you can increase the dir listing limit a few thousand, it looks like you have a problem. You may have to place the videos (and any other files above 1998 per dir) in subfolders, like the mame .128 video sets from the old ftp server [ .../0.9, /a, /b -- /z or such like)
I know its a pain but i thought i should bring this to your attention. If im barking up the wrong tree, or just being stupid, then i appologise. Feel free to show me the errors of my ways. If you know of a workaround, please let me know."
I hope my ramblings make sense, Is anyone else here experiencing this or know of a solution?
