Tektronix oscilloscope "X-Y" mode... What about Z input?
« on: February 01, 2009, 04:05:37 pm »
I am looking to get an oscilloscope. Would a 465 be any good for Z input on vector boards? I have heard something about needing this feature. I want to pick one up for around 200.00 shipped. What's the best I can get for my money?  I really would like to have all the bells whistle.

Can you help me out with some info? Thanks

Someone on klov said get one over 200 MhHz but didn't explain why. Why?

Anyone have a link to a model line history of tektronix o-scopes?

Is the 2335 older than the 465?

The USENET newsgroup sci.electronics.repair is best suited to answer this question

Personally, I have an oscilloscope and almost never use it. In the past twenty years I've probably used it four times. It was to repair audio amplifiers not arcade stuff or monitors.
