I-PAC 2 New Version
« on: January 20, 2009, 10:58:46 am »
From today all I-PAC 2 boards shipped will be the new FS32 version.

Differences from the older version are:

32 inputs (was 28)
Supports Full Speed USB (still also supports PS/2).
Slightly longer and narrower board.
User-upgradeable firmware.

All the usual I-PAC features are still there of course such as auto-switch interface, self-test LED, intelligent shift, retention of codes after power off, host or interactive configuration, always-on pass-through.

Incidentally, this new board lays to rest the issue of key-press limit in USB because there is no limit at all when using full-speed USB. Not that this was ever a real issue with the older board, but now its not even a discussion subject.

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Good work! Always nice to see vendors who still care about making their products even better!
