27K7502 Wells Gardner 27" Monitor w pincushion problems
« on: January 09, 2009, 09:39:03 am »
Hello,
I have a Wells Gardner K7500 monitor with a pincushion problem )(.   I decided to go ahead and recap the monitor since the colors were not that vibrant as well. (All electrolytics have been replaced on the deflection board.) :o   The colors on the monitor are great now but I still have the original pincushion problem.  I found that Q770 and Q771 were open on P777, So I replaced the transistors.  I have also replaced Q710 and have checked Q709.  When I started to inspect the pincushion board,  I noticed that it did not match up with the one in the service manual for the K7502.  It appears there are many revisions for this board depending on the model.   Does anyone know where to get the proper schematic for this board?  I appears that two component have been reversed (R774 and C774).  There is a 12K resistor installed where the board is labeled C774 and there is an electrolytic (22uF 25V) installed where the board is labeled R774.   C771 and R773 have never been installed on the boardand there is a 470 ohm resistor soldered to the back of the board( It is soldered to the pad for the wiper on VR771 and the other side is connected to ground.  :blah:

Sorry for being long winded.  I did not know if this was by design or if the last person working on the monitor did this.

  Thanks

Contact tech support at Wells-Gardner. They should be able to provide you a schematic of that board.
