1. How to edit the buttons on the main mameWAH menu

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

First off, check http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com

1. Go to config and edit the CFG file.

2. Create a file in your emulator folder called emuname-1.ini (so for mame, call it mame-1.ini). Start mamewah and it will auto-populate the list. Then go to the game list options and filter it from there (the wiki will help with these steps)

3. Edit the mamewah.ini and set the wrap list option to 1

(This is all from memory. Check the wiki)

I don't think you can do anything more than alphabetic order. The only way is to edit the .lst file by hand.

Sorry, if you PM'd me at MameWorld I haven't been on there (or here) for a little while...

1. How to edit the buttons on the main mameWAH menu

Do you mean the controls? If so, see \mamewah\config\mamewah.cfg

2. To create a custom list (i.e. the roms in the order I want them to appear)

Ginsu is right, in custom lists the order is simply alphabetical. Unless you set list_type to 'longest_played' or 'most_played' that is.

3. When you get to the bottom of the list, if you press down it takes you back to the first game

Again Ginsu is right, set wrap_list 1 in mamewah.ini.

Ooooo, I never paid attention to this feature. I might make a custom list using this! Thanks!

You can edit the \files\xxx-?.lst file and set the order how you like but it is a bit of a pain to do this.

Why do you want to do this?

Hi... back again

Im having trouble creating a custom list....
The list contains about a dozen games, but I want them to appear in the order I set. I have tried the above but it changes the names to which it displays but doesnt change the order they appear in my list.

Anyone help?
