Help Identifying Parts, Please -- Mystery Solved, Thanks!
« on: December 26, 2008, 12:21:50 pm »
Hi.  I have an old PacMan cocktail that was converted to Trivia Whiz back in 1985.  The PacMan power supply was disconnected back then and a HiTRON HSA-130 was used for TriviaWhiz.  Aside from the PS, coindoor, and monitor  all of the original PacMan hardware was discarded...I think.

The truth is I don't know much about Arcade stuff.  I'm trying to learn.  Was wondering if someone could educate me.  Here is the working PCB for Trivia Whiz.  This is the harness that I disconnected when I cleaned it.  My question is this....

Is this wiring harness the original PacMan wires or was it a kit that was part of Trivia Whiz?  Reason I ask is I'm making an effort to keep anything that's original PacMan.  Anything that's Trivia Whiz I'm probably going to get rid of.

Thanks for looking.

That is all 100% Merit wiring harness. None of it is for a Pacman.

That crappy Hitron power supply was also included in the Merit Trivia Whiz conversion kit.

An original Pacman board has that power supply built into the gameboard.

I think arcadeshop.com sells brand new Pacman wiring harnessses for both upright and table versions.
